No. 17 (Diema)

This is a design by Banwy Models of the No. 17 Diesel, often known as Diema. It is an ex Taiwan Sugar Corporation Locomotive No. 175. This arrived on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway in 2004 and is operational today.

The print is designed to fit a a Kato 11-110 chassis that has had the railings removed and the sides filed down gently. Another option is a Graham Farish Class 47 Bogie witha motor fitted to it.

My own model uses a C Power 2607 unit from Narrow Garage (Japan). This is a 3 axle unit with 7mm diameter wheels and a wheelbase of 13mm + 13mm. I cut out a small adaptor plate from a piece of 1mm thick plasticard to get the correct height.
